About the role#
As a Technology Intern, you will join our team to help build the software tools that power CoStar Group’s proprietary platform. These tools support our sales and research teams across marketplaces like Homes.com, CoStar.com, Apartments.com, and LoopNet.com. You will work alongside full-time engineers, contribute to meaningful business initiatives, and gain exposure to core software engineering principles. Each intern is paired with a dedicated mentor to support technical development and career growth throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the software engineering lifecycle.
- Collaborate on enterprise-level projects.
- Apply programming languages and software engineering fundamentals to build or improve software.
- Gain exposure to technologies such as TypeScript, React, Java, C#.NET, SQL, Python, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Explore AI-related areas including machine learning, large language models, natural language processing, and prompt engineering.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable major from an accredited, not-for-profit university.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Must be planning to return to school following the completion of the internship.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Ability to commit to a 40-hour work week for the full 10-week summer program.
- Experience building or contributing to technical projects through coursework, personal applications, research, or open-source contributions.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and application design concepts like REST or GraphQL.
- Ability to write understandable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Demonstrated initiative and experience collaborating on team-based work.
- Must be eligible to work full-time in the United States. Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.

- Location: Irvine, California.
- Modality: Hybrid (Monday to Thursday in office, Friday remote).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: $40 - $45 per hour.
