About the role#
Join the Digital Products and Technology team to tackle business challenges in the energy industry. This internship offers hands-on experience with software development, data analysis, and strategic project support. You will work alongside subject matter experts to drive operational improvements and develop applications that support our energy delivery services.
What you'll do#
- Support the full software development lifecycle, including prototyping, design, testing, debugging, and deployment in an agile environment.
- Contribute technical expertise to IT projects with a focus on solution design and configuration.
- Translate user requirements into agile-based application development solutions.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to inform process improvement.
- Use software tools to analyze, interpret, and present data.
- Create PowerPoint presentations to communicate complex project information.
- Maintain and update technical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A growth mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- A business value-focused mindset.
- Awareness of basic architectural concepts and standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Understanding of software development principles and best practices in coding.

- Location: Jackson, Michigan.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in office).
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
