About the role#
As a Software Development Intern, you will join the APX Design Automation & Configuration team in Cranberry Township. You will report to the Software Development Manager and contribute to the WNEXUS Software Suite of Applications. This is a full-time, paid internship running from May to August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with product and development teams to execute the vision for the WNEXUS Software Suite.
- Use internal application framework tools to develop engineering applications.
- Assist developers with the maintenance and testing of existing software.
- Partner with discipline engineers to define and execute functional requirements.
- Help discipline engineers determine the scope, schedule, and cost for new applications or updates.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of your sophomore year of college.
- Experience with Java and SQL or database design.
- Knowledge of web programming including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Experience with REST APIs, MVC architecture, and Bootstrap.
- An understanding of object-oriented and event-driven programming paradigms.

- Compensation: $25.40 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
