About the role#
This internship provides experience with tax compliance matters within the Corporate Tax Department. You will work on tax provision accounting, federal and state income tax returns, and state allocation information. The role involves research, data reconciliation, and responding to tax authority inquiries. Interns also participate in company events including senior leader meetings, team building, and a final presentation.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the tax provision accounting process.
- Extract and analyze accounting records for tax return preparation.
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns using Corptax software.
- Compile state allocation and apportionment information using spreadsheets.
- Reconcile data to financial statements and general ledger records.
- Gather information to respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Conduct tax research and learn to use tax research tools.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student majoring in Accounting or Finance.
- Completion of at least Intermediate Level Accounting.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.

- Compensation: $19.00 - $29.50 per hour.
