About the role#
This internship provides experience in corporate tax compliance. You will work within the Corporate Tax Department to support tax matters and gain exposure to the tax provision accounting process.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the tax provision accounting process and prepare specific components.
- Extract and analyze accounting records to prepare tax return components.
- Help prepare federal and state income tax returns using Corptax software.
- Compile state allocation and apportionment information using spreadsheet applications.
- Reconcile data to financial statements and general ledger records.
- Prepare information to respond to inquiries from federal, state, and local tax authorities.
- Research tax issues and learn to use tax research tools.
- Participate in intern events including senior leader meetings, team building, and a final presentation.
What you'll need#
- Undergraduate major in Accounting or Finance.
- Completion of at least Intermediate Level Accounting.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
