About the role#
This is an on-site internship at Communicare Official in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. You will provide direct behavioral health care counseling and consultation services under the supervision of the Clinic Manager and Site Supervisor. This is a paid, full-time position with rolling terms.
What you'll do#
- Provide therapy services for individuals, families, and groups.
- Complete accurate and timely charting and documentation.
- Collaborate with the treatment team during meetings to discuss client care.
- Attend mandatory in-service training and educational programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, or a related mental health field.
- Current enrollment in a university-sponsored academic internship or practicum training program.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliability and the ability to interact effectively with staff and the public.
- Adaptability when dealing with unexpected events or changes.

- Physical demands: This role requires visual acuity for filing, manual dexterity for clerical tasks, and the ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
