About the role#
This is a part-time, temporary internship at the Center for Specialized Addiction Services in Paducah. The role focuses on educational goals and requires a minimum of 24 hours per week, though this is negotiable based on your academic requirements. You will receive clinical and administrative supervision as defined by your graduate program and your appointment letter.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct services to clients as permitted by your graduate school policies and our internal procedures.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify client strengths, needs, and recommendations for intervention.
- Develop and initiate individualized treatment plans within a community behavioral health setting.
- Manage a daily schedule similar to a full-time practitioner and provide community-based services.
- Facilitate the treatment termination process, including the development of after-care plans.
- Document client encounters and maintain professional records.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a behavioral health graduate program at an accredited university.
- Completion of graduate coursework in behavioral health assessment, diagnostics, professional ethics, and treatment theory.
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
- Ability to pass all required background checks.
- Endorsement from an interview team regarding your potential to develop into a competent clinical practitioner.
