About the role#
Reeves Construction Company is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to join our team in Duncan, South Carolina. You will support Asphalt Superintendents and Foremen by providing technical detail and interpreting project requirements. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and solicitations to vendors and subcontractors.
- Work on project sites to observe progress and ensure safety standards.
- Generate change orders and transfer data from estimating software to job cost software.
- Communicate project rollouts with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and field personnel.
- Manage submittals to agencies as required for project construction.
- Review and analyze job cost information and generate billing quantities.
- Provide clear directions and organize project tasks.
- Assist others while following company safety policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related degree program.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
- A commitment to safety, integrity, and ethics.
- Ability to communicate well and work in a team environment.
- A current, valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends if required.

- Modality: On-site.
- Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, climb, and work in outdoor conditions involving noise, vibration, and dust.
