About the role#
Reeves Construction Company is seeking Intern Project Engineers to support our teams in Augusta, Georgia. You will work directly with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to interpret project requirements and monitor site progress. This is an on-site, full-time rolling internship.
What you'll do#
- Read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and solicitations to vendors and subcontractors.
- Observe project progression on-site and ensure safety requirements are met to mitigate risks.
- Use estimating software to generate change orders and transfer data to job cost software.
- Review and analyze job cost information to ensure accuracy.
- Generate billing quantities based on field data and contract requirements.
- Communicate project updates and address issues with the project manager and field team.
- Provide clear directions and answer questions while working safely with others.
- Work nights and weekends if the project schedule requires it.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related degree program.
- Strong analytical, organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- A commitment to safety, integrity, and ethics.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- A current, valid driver license.
