About the role#
This summer internship provides students with direct exposure to corporate accounting within the construction industry. You will work alongside Regional Controllers and Staff Accountants to gain hands-on experience across a full range of accounting functions. This role is based in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Support safety initiatives and follow all company policies, including the code of ethics.
- Assist with inventory transactions and physical measurements.
- Participate in job costing processes.
- Gain an understanding of internal controls within an industry setting.
- Collaborate with operations teams to improve efficiency.
- Work across multiple computer systems to support daily accounting tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A valid driver license and a clean driving record.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office products.
- Ability to work in an office environment, with occasional travel and site visits that may involve walking on uneven terrain.
