About the role#
This is a temporary, full-time accounting internship based at our head office. You will work under the direction of the Controller to review, update, and document our internal accounting and payroll processes.
What you'll do#
- Compile accounting and payroll procedures for review and updates.
- Review and update process manuals for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Assist with rent collection procedures and update related manuals.
- Manage updates for trust disbursements, account opening and closing, fee collection, and bank reconciliation processes.
- Document cash and cheque deposit procedures.
- Review and update standard operating procedures for the accounting department.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least the first year of a recognized accounting program.
- Ability to provide or obtain WHIMIS certification.
- Ability to provide or obtain a Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Clearance.
Location & details#
- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
- Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
- Status: Full-time, temporary position.
