About the role#
This is a paid, full-time co-op position reporting to the controller at GreenShield Holdings. You will support the finance team in streamlining financial reporting while gaining exposure to core compliance and organizational operations. This role is offered on a rolling basis with a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain day-to-day financial reporting functions.
- Prepare month-end working papers and account reconciliations.
- Compile monthly administrative expense management reports and identify performance drivers.
- Manage accounting records and reports.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis on specific business areas.
- Assist with the full payment cycle, including customer deposits, claims, vendor payments, and commissions.
- Support projects related to the broader finance transformation initiative.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in business, finance, accounting, mathematics, or computer science.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to process and manipulate large datasets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and time management skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience with ERP systems, an understanding of the insurance industry, or bilingualism in French are considered assets.

- This role is based in Windsor, Ontario, with hybrid work options available.
- Compensation is $22.50 per hour.
