About the role#
Clera is hiring a Computer Vision & Robotics Intern to join our industrial automation team. You will work with technical leadership to build perception systems that detect process deviations in manual assembly work. This role focuses on creating systems that function reliably in real factory environments.
What you'll do#
- Build and improve vision pipelines for detection, classification, tracking, and temporal understanding.
- Test first-person perception under challenging conditions like camera motion, occlusion, motion blur, and variable lighting.
- Use synthetic and real-world data to identify failure cases and improve model performance.
- Train, evaluate, and debug PyTorch vision models.
- Explore geometric vision, calibration, localization, pose estimation, and 3D perception.
- Optimize models for low-latency inference and edge deployment.
- Build evaluation tools to measure system performance in real-world conditions.
- Support factory deployments and assess system performance on the shop floor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Interest in computer vision and physical AI.
- Comfort with Python.
- Hands-on experience in computer vision, machine learning, or robotics.
- A completed project in computer vision, robotics, or perception using real sensor or camera data.
- Ability to learn quickly, debug technical problems, build projects, and take ownership.
- Experience with PyTorch, OpenCV, object detection, tracking, synthetic data, SLAM, visual-inertial odometry, 3D vision, CUDA, TensorRT, ROS 2, or NVIDIA Jetson is a plus.
Location & details#
