About the role#
This part-time internship provides training in public administration and City operations. You will work within the Plan Development and Implementation Division of the Planning Department. This role supports comprehensive planning, urban design, and transportation projects such as the Development Codes Update, planokc, and the Vision Zero Action Plan. The position is open to students and individuals working on special projects.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical and research assistance for planning functions.
- Perform GIS mapping and data analysis.
- Collect, enter, and visualize data.
- Use the Tax Assessor site to verify data and model impacts on tax base and investment growth.
- Prepare graphics, renderings, and presentation materials.
- Assist with project management, meeting logistics, and grant application preparation.
- Respond to data requests from external agencies.
- Perform tasks related to landscape architecture.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You must provide specific, detailed responses to all application questions.
- Your responses must be supported by your work history or resume.

- This role is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- Work is on-site.
- This is a part-time position, limited to a maximum of 29 hours per week.
- The hourly pay range is $17.50 to $22.50.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and potential drug testing.
