About the role#
The City of Oklahoma City Airports Department is hiring interns to support aviation operations. This part-time, year-round role provides training in public administration and department-specific functions. You will assist with research, administrative tasks, and project-related assignments while working under minimal supervision.
What you'll do#
- Provide research, administrative, or technical support to your assigned department.
- Perform project-related and financial assignments to assist the division.
- Work on special projects while completing your degree.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Enrolled as a junior or senior undergraduate student, or a master's student, in aviation management, aviation technology, or a closely related program.
- Recent graduates of such programs (within the past two years) are also eligible.
- Course study in Airport Management is preferred.
- Familiarity with airport planning, operations, management, and flight regulations.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, including 14CFR Parts 77, 91, and 139.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Transcripts must be attached to your application.
Location & details#
- Location: Oklahoma City, OK.
- Schedule: Part-time, maximum of 29 hours per week.
- Pay: $17.50 to $22.50 per hour.
- Requirements: Employees assigned to the Airports Department must successfully pass a thorough TSA background check, including fingerprinting. Pay is issued electronically via direct deposit or pay card.
