About the role#
The Commercial Summer Internship Program provides exposure to commercial banking business lines through project-based assignments and mentorship. Interns work within one of five specific teams in Boston: Asset Based Lending, Commercial Risk Management, Mid Corp PM, SACOE, or Treasury & Wholesale Payments. This is a 10-week, full-time, paid program starting June 1, 2027. High-performing interns may receive early consideration for full-time opportunities at the end of the program.
What you'll do#
- Support underwriting, collateral analysis, portfolio monitoring, financial modeling, and credit approval processes.
- Conduct financial and credit analysis and prepare credit approval materials.
- Monitor client reporting and covenant compliance.
- Perform industry and market research.
- Support control testing, process documentation, regulatory exam preparation, and report distribution.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, including digitization and ESG-related projects.
- Conduct research, analytics, and project management for Treasury Solutions initiatives.
- Participate in client meetings, team discussions, and special projects.
- Present recommendations and insights to senior executives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate bachelor’s or graduate program.
- Graduation date between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2, with a 3.5 preferred. Please include your cumulative GPA on your resume.
- Relevant coursework or experience in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Successful completion of a video interview assessment within 4 days of receiving the link.
- Current U.S. residency and permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
