About the role#
As an Actuarial Intern, you will join the team to evaluate business opportunities by analyzing data using P&C actuarial techniques. You will help management balance anticipated business outcomes with unexpected risks. This program offers exposure to various actuarial methods and insurance concepts during the summer. You will work directly with a supervisor and have opportunities to network with other members of the Actuarial Department.

- Analyze data to evaluate business opportunities using P&C actuarial techniques.
- Assist the team in balancing anticipated and unexpected business outcomes.
- Design creative solutions to address actuarial problems.
- Collaborate with your supervisor and network across the department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong mathematical skills, specifically in calculus, probability, and statistics.
- A GPA of 3.5 or higher is preferred.
- At least one actuarial exam passed is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access.
- Proficiency in SQL, R Studio, and Python is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
