The Family and Community Engagement Coordinator Intern supports efforts to increase participation and communication among families and communities within schools and neighborhoods. Working closely with administration, the intern helps cultivate a nurturing environment that empowers communities to thrive and leverages available local resources.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the implementation of outreach plans to engage families in community and school-based activities and services.
- Identify, engage, and support community action groups and centers of influence.
- Collaborate with administration to coordinate educational opportunities.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to set appropriate limits and boundaries with clients.
- Ability to submit all documentation in a timely manner.
- Preferred academic backgrounds include Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Human Resources, Public Health, or Political Science.
Location & details#
- Location: Jacksonville, Florida.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, 5-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
- Note: All applicants are subject to a background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
