About the role#
The Family and Community Engagement Coordinator Intern enhances participation and communication among families and communities within schools and neighborhoods. Working closely with administration, this role focuses on leveraging community resources to cultivate a nurturing environment that empowers communities to thrive.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the implementation of an outreach plan to engage families in community and school activities.
- Identify, engage, and support community action groups and centers of influence.
- Collaborate with administration to support program goals.
- Leverage available community resources to benefit local families.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate educational opportunities.
- Ability to set appropriate limits and boundaries with clients.
- Ability to submit all documentation in a timely manner.
- Preferred majors include Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Human Resources, Public Health, or Political Science.
Location & details#
- Location: Jacksonville, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, 5 to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
- Note: All applicants are subject to a background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.
