Family and Community Engagement Coordinator Intern

About the role#

The Family and Community Engagement Coordinator Intern supports efforts to increase participation and communication among families and communities within schools and neighborhoods. Working closely with administration, the intern helps cultivate a nurturing environment that empowers communities to thrive and leverages available local resources.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the implementation of outreach plans to engage families in community and school-based activities and services.
• Identify, engage, and support community action groups and centers of influence.
• Collaborate with administration to coordinate educational opportunities.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to set appropriate limits and boundaries with clients.
• Ability to submit all documentation in a timely manner.
• Preferred academic backgrounds include Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Human Resources, Public Health, or Political Science.

Location & details#

• Location: Jacksonville, Florida.
• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Part-time, 5-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
• Term: Rolling.
• Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
• Note: All applicants are subject to a background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
