    About the role#

    The Family and Community Engagement Coordinator Intern helps improve participation and communication for families in schools and neighborhoods. You will work with administration to connect people with local resources and build an environment that supports community growth.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with the outreach plan to help families connect with community activities and services.
    • Identify and support local community action groups.
    • Work alongside administration to use available community resources.
    • Help cultivate a supportive environment for the community.

    What you'll need#

    • A High School Diploma or GED.
    • Ability to coordinate educational opportunities.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to set clear limits and boundaries when working with clients.
    • Ability to submit all required documentation on time.
    • Preferred majors include Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Human Resources, Public Health, or Political Science.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Jacksonville, Florida.
    • This is an on-site, unpaid, part-time internship.
    • You can expect to work between 5 to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm.
    • Applicants are subject to a background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.
