About the role#
As a Campaign Fundraising Manager for the Student Visionaries of the Year program, you will build relationships with volunteers and implement peer-to-peer fundraising strategies. Your work directly supports our mission to find cures for blood cancer and reach our goal of enabling patients to gain more than one million years of life by 2040. This role focuses on complex campaigns, pipeline development, and managing resources with independence.
What you'll do#
- Drive high-impact peer-to-peer fundraising to meet annual revenue budgets.
- Implement organizational campaign standards across your event portfolio.
- Track key performance indicators (KPI) to adjust activity and stay on target.
- Partner with the Campaign Development Director and Director of Campaign Excellence to build strategic plans.
- Manage a sponsorship pipeline by prospecting corporate partners, securing meetings, and closing agreements.
- Collaborate with local and national teams to communicate our mission, programs, and priorities.
- Organize local donor cultivation events and prospect high-impact donors.
- Recruit and cultivate high-level volunteer committees through independent research and networking.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in a directly relatable role.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of sales channels, including digital and social media.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead volunteer groups and manage multiple priorities.
- Skill in influencing and persuading others.
- Experience collaborating with mission teams and organizational partners.
Location & details#
- Location: San Jose, California.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment: Full-time.
- Pay: $43 to $48 per hour.
- Requirements: Ability to travel within the designated area and work some evenings or weekends. You may occasionally need to move campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
