About the role#
Child Guidance Resource Centers offers a student teaching position within our Elementary Education Services program. This program serves children in grades K-8 who require a structured academic environment outside of their public school district. You will work in a setting that balances an academic curriculum with a focus on social, emotional, and behavioral development.
What you'll do#
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily operations.
- Collaborate with the special education team to support student goals.
- Manage the classroom environment to ensure a productive space.
- Provide individualized instruction to students.
- Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide behavioral support and crisis intervention as needed.
- Assist with assessment, grading, and progress monitoring.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Psychology program.
- An interest in special education.
- A willingness to take on new clinical experiences.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
