About the role#
As a Wells Engineer, you will join the Horizons program, an employee development initiative designed to accelerate your technical skills and professional growth during the first three to five years of your career. This role involves a mix of office and field-based assignments to build a foundation in drilling, completions, and well intervention. You will have opportunities for domestic and international mobility as you develop core competencies.
What you'll do#
- Perform drilling engineering tasks such as cost estimation, bit and drill string design, and casing, cement, and mud program design.
- Manage completions engineering responsibilities, including cost estimation, well completion design, sand control, and production tubing string design.
- Execute well intervention engineering by planning, supporting, and supervising procedures, including the use of coiled tubing and snubbing units.
- Serve in field-based roles as a Drill Site Representative for drilling operations or as a Well Site Representative for frac spreads and intervention on producing wells.
What you'll need#
- Completion of the final year of a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Individuals with a degree in the aforementioned fields who have less than two years of directly related work experience.
- Demonstrated strong academic performance in core engineering programs.
- Proficiency in communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Ability to drive on a routine basis for position requirements.
