Wells Engineers participate in the Wells Horizons program, an early-career development initiative designed to build technical knowledge and professional confidence over three to five years. This role involves a mix of office and field-based assignments, providing a foundation for long-term career growth. Engineers may work as Drill Site Representatives for on-site operations or as office-based engineers focusing on drilling, completions, or well intervention. Mobility is encouraged, with potential for domestic and international assignments.
What you'll do#
- Perform drilling engineering tasks, including cost estimation, bit and drill string design, and casing and cement design.
- Execute completions engineering duties, such as well completion design, production tubing string design, and nodal analysis to optimize production.
- Manage well intervention engineering, which includes designing, planning, and supervising intervention and completion procedures using technologies like coiled tubing and snubbing units.
- Serve as a representative for on-site drilling operations, frac spreads, and well intervention activities on producing wells.
What you'll need#
- Completion of the final year of a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Alternatively, individuals with a degree in the aforementioned fields and less than two years of directly related work experience.
- Strong academic performance in core engineering programs.
- Demonstrated skills in communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Ability to drive on a routine basis.

- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $113,000 - $136,000 annually, determined by degree level and discipline.
