About the role#
As a Facilities Engineering Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will be paired with a mentor to work on projects that support operating facilities. This role involves applying technical engineering knowledge and project management skills to real-world energy operations. Interns gain exposure to the full energy value chain, from production to refining, while contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Optimize facilities to deliver maximum value safely and reliably.
- Provide technical engineering support for turnarounds and capital projects.
- Develop and deploy technologies aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing carbon output.
- Utilize digitalization and data analytics to improve process operations and safety.
- Collaborate with experienced professionals on high-impact projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong academic performance in core coursework.
- Proficiency in communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way in your daily work.
