About the role#
Cherry Bekaert is hiring a Valuation Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Please note that the firm does not provide work sponsorship for this role.
What you'll do#
- Complete various valuation engagements, including enterprise, debt, equity, and intangible asset valuations.
- Apply standard valuation methodologies to business enterprise and debt engagements.
- Perform purchase price allocations for tax or financial reporting purposes under US GAAP.
- Analyze portfolio company audit results, financial covenants, and cash flow.
- Assist in the development of discount rates (WACC).
- Conduct financial statement analysis and research industry growth estimates.
- Help prepare final valuation reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills are required.
- Interest in pursuing an advanced degree or certification such as an MBA, MS, ASA, ABV, or CFA.
