About the role#
As a Recycle and Assembly Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the planning and execution of projects that support uranium enrichment and facility operations. You will work alongside managers, supervisors, and technicians to see how engineering design, procurement, and manufacturing come together. This role offers exposure to the manufacture, assembly, and delivery of centrifuges.
What you'll do#
- Assist team members in reviewing design documents and tracking project schedules.
- Analyze engineering data, review drawings and specifications, and help with project reporting.
- Participate in the manufacture and assembly of centrifuges used for uranium enrichment.
- Evaluate administrative documents, including procedures, training, and engineering data, against an NRC license.
- Present your key contributions and lessons learned to the team at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a bachelor or graduate program in nuclear, mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least one year of college-level coursework in an engineering or related program.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, or PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
- U.S. citizenship.
