About the role#
TSC is looking for students to join the Cooperative Education Program in Huntsville, Alabama. You will support the Radar and Precision Weapons Development Operation. This program allows you to apply classroom theory to practical work situations while clarifying your academic and career goals. You will work alongside full-time engineering staff on real projects, taking on more responsibility as you gain experience.
What you'll do#
- Design hardware to support electronics systems development.
- Perform structural and thermal analyses of electronics systems.
- Design and fabricate hardware for environmental testing.
- Support manufacturing, assembly, and system integration.
- Create and maintain mechanical drawings.
- Assist with military defense systems field tests.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university with good academic standing.
- Pursuit of a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Security Clearance.
- Experience with 3D modeling software like SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or Pro-E is preferred.
- A basic understanding of machining and electronic system manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and generate mechanical drawings, including the application of GD&T.
