About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for the Spring 2027 term. You will work on-site in Greenwich, Connecticut, gaining practical experience in tax compliance and consulting across various industries.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning tax assignments for clients in sectors like Real Estate, Construction, Healthcare, and Manufacturing.
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
- Build your tax compliance knowledge by helping with IRS audits, tax notice responses, trust returns, and gift and estate returns.
- Support client assignments from start to finish.
- Maintain high professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct.
- Build relationships with client staff to understand their goals and provide responsive service.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. A Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is also preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet software.
- Analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Ability to think independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Active involvement in student organizations or prior work experience in accounting or a related field.
