About the role#
As an Audit Intern at CBIZ, you will join our team for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in New Haven, Connecticut. You will support our audit teams across various industries including real estate, construction, manufacturing, and nonprofits.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning multiple audit assignments.
- Apply accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards, and technology procedures to client work.
- Participate in the full lifecycle of client assignments from start to finish.
- Identify and discuss audit issues, technical matters, and potential improvements with senior associates, managers, and partners.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with client staff to support their goals and needs.
- Maintain high standards for professional conduct and client confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internal software.
- Strong analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
- A Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is a plus.
- Prior experience in accounting or involvement in student organizations is helpful but not required.
