About the role#
As an Audit Intern, you will participate in client assignments from start to finish. You will work with diverse industries including real estate, construction, manufacturing, and nonprofits. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning audit assignments.
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, individuals, and corporations.
- Develop tax compliance knowledge by assisting with IRS audits, tax notices, and estate or trust returns.
- Apply accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards, and technology procedures to client work.
- Identify and discuss audit issues or improvement opportunities with senior staff to help resolve client needs.
- Build professional relationships with client staff to support service goals.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. A Master's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to think independently, multi-task, and solve problems.
- Strong analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Previous work experience in accounting or participation in student organizations is helpful but not required.

- This role is based on-site in Providence, Rhode Island.
- The internship is a full-time commitment.
