About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will serve as a customer service ambassador to ensure resident satisfaction. This role focuses on maintaining high occupancy through the retention of existing residents and the leasing of available apartment homes. You will work as part of a team to support daily community operations and participate in community events.
What you'll do#
- Act as a point of contact for residents and prospective clients, including answering leasing calls and conducting tours.
- Complete lease applications and manage lease file paperwork while ensuring documentation remains accurate and compliant with company policy.
- Assist in planning and executing community events.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression for visitors.
- Participate in required training programs and pass third party leasing shops.
- Perform administrative front desk tasks and assist with additional community projects as assigned.
- Handle on-call responsibilities, such as lock-outs and nightly rounds, as needed.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours and a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Completion of at least one year of study at an accredited college or university.
- Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community and reside on the designated community floor.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, reaching, and stooping.
- Valid driver's license.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
