About the role#
As a student intern, you will join our multi-disciplinary team and work under the direction of a licensed engineer. You will contribute to projects across the Commercial, Education, Health, S&T, and Sports & Rec markets. This position has the potential to evolve into a full-time entry-level role based on business needs and your qualifications.
What you'll do#
- Design technology systems such as telecommunications, security, nurse call, public address, and audiovisual systems in accordance with standards and codes.
- Prepare construction documents and basic system specifications for projects.
- Review and markup shop drawing submittals.
- Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, which may involve physical site walk-throughs.
- Complete all mandatory training and compliance requirements while adhering to internal policies and our Code of Conduct.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master's degree program in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with engineering design software such as Revit or Navisworks is preferred.
