About the role#
As a student intern, you will join our multi-disciplinary team under the supervision of a licensed engineer. You will work on projects involving new construction and renovation across the healthcare, educational, commercial, and science and technology markets. This position has the potential to evolve into a full-time entry-level role based on business needs.
What you'll do#
- Perform uncomplicated designs of ductwork, piping, controls, and equipment selection for HVAC systems.
- Assist in Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings for HVAC systems from schematic design through construction administration.
- Review and markup shop drawing submittals.
- Recommend improvements for process, quality, and coordination efforts.
- Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, which may require physical site walk-throughs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with engineering design programs such as Revit MEP is preferred.
