About the role#
As a student intern, you will join our multi-disciplinary team to work under the supervision of a licensed engineer or Certified Plumbing Designer. You will contribute to projects spanning healthcare, commercial, educational, and science and technology markets. This role is based on business needs and may evolve into a full-time entry-level position for students who meet the requirements.
What you'll do#
- Perform uncomplicated designs of plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Assist with the design of piping, ductwork, controls, and equipment selection for HVAC systems.
- Use Revit and BIM software to model construction drawings from the schematic phase through construction administration.
- Review and mark up shop drawing submittals.
- Suggest improvements for quality, process, and coordination.
- Visit job sites to observe construction progress and verify existing conditions, which may involve physical walk-throughs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with engineering design programs such as Revit MEP is preferred.
