About the role#
As a Technology Student Intern, you will join our multi-disciplinary engineering team. You will work under the direction of a licensed engineer on projects across the Commercial, Education, Health, Science and Technology, and Sports and Recreation markets. This role has the potential to evolve into a full-time entry-level position based on business needs.
What you'll do#
- Design technology systems such as telecommunications, security, nurse call, public address, and audiovisual systems.
- Prepare construction documents and basic system specifications.
- Assist in reviewing and marking up shop drawing submittals.
- Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, which includes physical walk-throughs of the site.
- Handle additional tasks as requested by the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with engineering design software like Revit or Navisworks is preferred.
