About the role#
As a student intern, you will join our multi-disciplinary team and work under the direction of a licensed engineer. You will contribute to projects involving new construction and renovation across the commercial, education, health, science, and sports markets. This position is based on a rolling term, and there is potential for this role to transition into full-time employment for qualified candidates.
What you'll do#
- Perform electrical design for lighting, power distribution, and communication systems, including fire alarms.
- Prepare technical reports and project documents from the initial concept through to advanced design phases.
- Assist in the review and markup of shop drawing submittals.
- Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, which requires physical walk-throughs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master's degree program in Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in engineering design software, such as Revit MEP or SKM Power Tools, is preferred.

- Work is performed on-site.
