About the role#
As a student intern, you will join our multi-disciplinary team and work under the direction of a licensed engineer. You will contribute to projects across the Commercial, Education, Health, S&T, and Sports & Rec markets. This role involves both new construction and renovation work. Depending on business needs, this internship has the potential to become a full-time entry-level position for qualified students.
What you'll do#
- Design electrical systems for lighting, power distribution, and communication, including fire alarm systems.
- Prepare technical documents and reports from the concept phase through advanced design documentation.
- Review and markup shop drawing submittals.
- Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, which requires physical site walk-throughs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master's degree program in Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with engineering design software, such as Revit MEP or SKM Power Tools, is preferred.
