About the role#
California Aeronautical University is hiring a student worker to join the Dispatch team in Bakersfield. This part-time, on-site role supports the daily scheduling and delivery of flight lessons. You will act as a primary point of contact for students and visitors while helping the Flight Operations team run smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Greet students and visitors, answering their questions and directing them as needed.
- Manage the stand-by fly list and assist with scheduling changes throughout the day.
- Handle general Dispatch desk and Flight Operations tasks.
- Communicate with students via email.
- Coordinate with the Line Department to track oil usage and place fuel orders.
- Assist with ramp activities for student training sessions.
- Verify that FAA documentation and student endorsements remain current.
- Perform closing procedures at the end of operations.
- Help with special projects and events.
