About the role#
As a Civil Engineer Intern, you will join a design team to work on real client projects throughout the summer. You will gain hands-on experience in land development while building technical skills in Civil 3D. The role includes regular check-ins with an assigned mentor and dedicated office hours to meet one-on-one with company leaders. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Design and draft land development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Support the production of design documents and calculations, including site planning and stormwater management.
- Help prepare preliminary and final construction documents and permit documents.
- Prepare site, grading, and utility plans to illustrate site developability.
- Participate in meetings with internal and external clients to review concept plans.
- Attend site visits to gather data and join project team meetings to discuss timelines and design constraints.
- Take part in technical and professional development trainings.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Familiarity with CAD software.
- A focused, motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to learn quickly and accept constructive criticism.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
