About the role#
As a Land Survey Intern at CAGE Engineering, you will work on real client projects alongside our professional teams. You will gain hands-on experience in both field data collection and survey drafting. The role includes regular check-ins with an assigned mentor and dedicated office hours to meet with company leaders. You will participate in technical and professional development training throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Assist survey crews with field data collection, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
- Support the preparation of boundary retracement, ALTA/NSPS, and topographic surveys.
- Process field data and prepare survey drawings using survey and CAD software.
- Research deeds, plats, and public records to support boundary and title work.
- Participate in meetings with internal and external clients to review survey findings.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
- A focused, motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
- Comfort working outdoors and in the field as part of a crew.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
