About the role#
As a Civil Engineer Intern at CAGE Engineering, you will join a design team to work on real client projects throughout the summer. You will gain hands-on experience in land development and site design while working closely with a dedicated mentor. The program includes regular office hours with company leaders, technical training sessions, and professional development workshops. This is a full-time, paid position designed to help you build technical skills and explore a career in civil engineering.
What you'll do#
- Design and draft land development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Support the production of design documents, including site planning, code research, and stormwater management calculations.
- Prepare site, grading, and utility plans to illustrate development constraints.
- Participate in meetings with internal and external clients to review project direction and concept plans.
- Attend site visits to gather data for design work.
- Attend project team meetings to discuss budgets, timelines, and design constraints.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Familiarity with CAD software.
- A focused, motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
- The ability to learn quickly and accept constructive criticism.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
