About the role#
As a Civil Engineer Intern at CAGE Engineering, you will join a design team to work on real client projects throughout the summer. You will gain hands-on experience in land development while building technical skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D. The role includes mentorship, regular check-ins, and dedicated office hours to meet with company leaders. You will work full-time in an environment focused on professional growth and collaborative problem solving.
What you'll do#
- Design and draft land development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Support the production of design documents and calculations, including site planning and stormwater management.
- Help prepare preliminary and final construction documents and permit documents.
- Prepare site, grading, and utility plans.
- Attend site visits to gather data for design.
- Participate in meetings with internal and external clients.
- Attend project team meetings to discuss timelines and design constraints.
- Complete technical and professional development trainings.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Familiarity with CAD.
- Focused, motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to learn quickly and accept constructive criticism.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
