About the role#
As a Civil Engineer Intern at CAGE Engineering, you will join a design team to work on real client projects. You will build technical skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D and site design while developing professional abilities like networking and organization. Interns receive regular support through a dedicated mentor and weekly office hours with company leaders. This is a full-time, paid summer position designed to provide hands-on experience in land development.
What you'll do#
- Design and draft land development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Prepare site, grading, and utility plans to illustrate site developability.
- Support the production of design documents, including stormwater management calculations.
- Participate in meetings with internal and external clients to discuss project direction.
- Attend site visits to gather data for your designs.
- Attend project team meetings to review timelines and design constraints.
- Participate in technical and professional development training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Familiarity with CAD software.
- A focused, motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to learn quickly and accept constructive criticism.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
