About the role#
As a Civil Engineer Intern, you will join a design team to work on real client projects. You will build technical skills in Civil 3D and site design while developing professional habits through hands-on training. You will be paired with a mentor for regular check-ins and have access to weekly office hours to meet with company leaders. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design and draft land development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Support the production of design documents, calculations, and code research.
- Prepare preliminary and final construction documents, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and permit documents.
- Create site, grading, and utility plans based on project constraints.
- Participate in meetings with internal and external clients to review concept plans.
- Attend site visits to gather data for design work.
- Attend project team meetings to discuss timelines, budgets, and design constraints.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Familiarity with CAD software.
- A focused, motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
- A strong desire to learn and advance your technical skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and accept constructive criticism.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
