About the role#
The HR Intern supports our team with daily operations, employee services, and recruiting tasks. This role provides hands-on exposure to human resources processes in a professional manufacturing environment. You will work directly with the HR team on administrative duties and special projects.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Support onboarding by preparing new hire packets and conducting orientation check-ins.
- Maintain accurate employee records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Track HR metrics and prepare reports.
- Assist with administrative tasks like filing, data entry, and organizing documents.
- Help with special projects such as policy reviews, process improvements, and training coordination.
- Participate in employee engagement activities and events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program for Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy security clearance.
