About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at BWXT, you will help develop and deliver engineering solutions within a nuclear environment. This position offers the chance to work on technical projects while learning from experienced professionals. You will contribute to our mission by applying your engineering knowledge to real-world tasks.
What you'll do#
- Create and update engineering drawings and procedures.
- Conduct design, testing, and analysis tasks.
- Manage projects and handle the procurement of materials as required.
- Communicate effectively with your team to meet project deadlines.
- Use logical judgment to navigate adjustments and solve problems.
What you'll need#
- You must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace, Biomedical, or Environmental Engineering.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- You must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.
- You must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Erwin, Tennessee.
- The term for this role is Summer 2027.
