About the role#
The Events and Experience Intern supports the marketing department with a focus on fan engagement, special events, and theme nights for the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits. This role involves both office-based planning and on-site support during live events. Interns receive professional development through workshops, a mentorship program, job shadowing opportunities, and career preparation resources like resume reviews and mock interviews.
What you'll do#
- Plan and execute fan engagement initiatives and special events for the 2026-2027 season.
- Prepare for events by organizing supplies, maintaining inventory, and readying materials for activations.
- Execute gameday marketing promotions, including fan giveaways, brand activations, and promotional appearances.
- Support the marketing department in carrying out promotional plans and campaigns.
- Assist the Fan Development Manager during focus groups to collect fan insights.
- Promote a positive fan experience while working within a creative team.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving boxes up to 20 pounds.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Marketing, Event Management, Sport Management, Business Administration, Communications, Public Health, Psychology, or a related field.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends, gamedays, and holidays.
- Strong communication skills and an outgoing, positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
- Genuine interest in interacting with fans.

- Compensation: $16.00 per hour.
