About the role#
The Miami HEAT and Kaseya Center are seeking a seasonal Event Services Intern to assist the Event Services Department. This role supports the coordination of various events, including concerts, family shows, Miami HEAT games, and smaller-scale meetings or rehearsals. This is a paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Senior Event Manager and Event Coordinators with reviewing event booking forms and preparing event worksheets.
- Support Event Managers in the coordination of VIP parties, event sponsorship activations, and concourse set-up.
- Conduct building walk-throughs and physical inspections for all events to ensure proper set-up and guest safety.
- Collect, organize, and validate event data to support accurate departmental reporting.
- Maintain and communicate the monthly conversion calendar to track setup and strike schedules for major arena events.
- Create and place event-specific signage and complete assigned administrative duties.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a college or university Event Management or Sports Management program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
- Ability to be available for the full duration of the internship from September 2026 through March 2027.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience working in a sports or live event venue is preferred.
