About the role#
The Miami HEAT and Kaseya Center are seeking a seasonal Event Services Intern to support the coordination of concerts, family shows, Miami HEAT games, and various small-scale events like meetings and rehearsals. This role provides hands-on experience in venue operations and departmental administration.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Senior Event Manager and Event Coordinators with reviewing event booking forms and preparing event worksheets.
- Support Event Managers in coordinating VIP parties, event sponsorship activations, and concourse set-ups.
- Conduct building walk-throughs and physical inspections to ensure proper facility set-up and guest safety.
- Create and place event-specific signage and assist with show-specific duties as needed.
- Collect, organize, and validate event data to support departmental reporting.
- Maintain and communicate the monthly conversion calendar to track setup and strike schedules.
- Oversee department equipment inventory by conducting audits and tracking usage.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a college or university program in Event Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or Communications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Previous experience working in a sports or live event venue is preferred.
- Availability for the full duration of the internship from September 2026 through March 2027.

- This is an on-site, paid, full-time internship.
- The term runs from Fall 2026 through Winter 2027.
- The role requires working irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
