About the role#
The Graphic Design Intern will support the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits, and KeyBank Center by producing marketing materials and digital content. Reporting to the Creative Director, this role offers the opportunity to develop design, communication, and time management skills while receiving mentorship from a team of graphic and motion designers. This is a part-time, on-site position for the 2026-2027 season, requiring 20-28 hours per week with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What you'll do#
- Produce derivative graphics for marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, and traditional print advertisements.
- Assist in the development of logo assets, web advertisements, infographics, and presentations.
- Design multi-layered graphics while adhering to established brand guidelines.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
- Manage project timelines to meet deadlines in a professional environment.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving boxes up to 20 pounds.
- Work in both office and live event settings, which may involve exposure to loud stadium noises and crowds.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an internship program at the collegiate level or recent graduate status.
- A solid portfolio of professional-grade work showcasing modern design principles and creativity.
- Above-average competency in Adobe Creative Cloud software, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Average competency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Willingness to accept constructive criticism and work collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of Motion Graphics (After Effects) and 3D software (C4D) is considered a plus.
