About the role#
The Graphic Design Intern will support the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits, and KeyBank Center by producing marketing assets and digital content. Reporting to the Creative Director, this role offers the opportunity to develop design, communication, and time management skills through mentorship from professional graphic and motion designers. This is a temporary, part-time, in-person position for the 2026-2027 season, requiring 20-28 hours per week with the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
What you'll do#
- Assist in producing derivative graphics for marketing campaigns.
- Develop and execute various deliverables, including print advertisements, web advertisements, infographics, presentations, logo development, and social media content.
- Adhere to established brand guidelines while participating in creative brainstorming sessions.
- Manage multiple design layers and respond to constructive feedback in a team-based setting.
- Adhere to project deadlines and respond to requests with composure.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving boxes up to 20 pounds.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an internship program at the collegiate or post-graduation level.
- A solid portfolio of professional-grade work demonstrating modern design principles and creativity.
- Above-average competency in Adobe Creative Cloud software, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Average competency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Familiarity with designing multi-layered graphics.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and 3D software is considered a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
