About the role#
Brunswick Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. Based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, this full-time role supports the Navico Group Power Solutions team with new product development and sustaining engineering efforts. You will work in a lab environment alongside experienced professionals to apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Execute product validation testing and provide detailed test reports.
- Build prototypes based on engineering data using mechanical and electrical principles.
- Design and fabricate custom test fixtures.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement repair solutions.
- Communicate test data and product issues using the internal test request system.
- Maintain the general shop and lab areas.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Hands-on machine shop experience with tools such as a vertical mill and lathe.
- Proficiency in Solidworks or Creo 3D modeling software.
- Experience working in a lab environment conducting mechanical, electrical, or environmental tests.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
