About the role#
Springs Window Fashions is hiring for a Summer 2027 Mechanical Engineering internship. You will join the Innovation Project Engineering Team to support project work and gain experience in the field. This is a paid, full-time position that involves working with cross-functional teams, participating in professional development, and job shadowing.
What you'll do#
- Join innovation project teams to work on next generation fabric tensioning solutions.
- Perform engineering calculations.
- Create product test plans to meet specifications and scope.
- Author test procedures.
- Build and assemble prototypes.
- Perform functionality tests on products.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably at the sophomore or junior level.
- Previous internship experience in a relevant function is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn.

- This role is based on-site at the Mecho headquarters in Long Island City, New York.
- The internship takes place during the Summer of 2027.
