About the role#

CTI Audit Solutions is looking for a Specific Stop Loss Claim Auditor Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in healthcare claims administration, data analysis, and the audit process. You will work alongside experienced professionals to help self-funded health plan sponsors manage claim expenses.

What you'll do#

• Review and audit specific stop loss claim submissions.
• Validate claim documentation and records for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze medical and pharmaceutical claims data to identify discrepancies or overpayments.
• Use Excel and Microsoft Office tools to organize and report data.
• Prepare client reports and audit summaries with the audit team.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive client data and protected health information.
• Communicate project status and findings to team members.

What you'll need#

• Current sophomore status pursuing a degree in Healthcare or a science-related field.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with healthcare claims processing or medical billing is helpful.
• Experience with Excel features like pivot tables, formulas, sorting, and filtering.
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies like Medicare, DRG, or RBRVS is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Access or other database applications is preferred.
• Prior coursework or internship experience in insurance, auditing, or healthcare administration.

Location & details#

• This is a remote position.
• The role is part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
• Scheduling is flexible.
• This is a paid internship.
