About the role#
The Retail Agronomic Services Intern supports the BRANDT Agronomic Services team through field work, plant operations, and customer support. This role provides an overview of agronomic services, with daily tasks that vary based on seasonal needs. You will report to the local Plant Manager and work alongside team members at the facility. There may be opportunities to shadow staff in other areas such as Discovery and Innovation, Dealer Support, and Specialty Formulations.
What you'll do#
- Place signage throughout the BRANDT trade area in plots or along road frontage.
- Deliver products to customers and other company locations.
- Assist with seed treatment and handle seed returns at facilities.
- Perform operational duties at the mix plant or warehouse.
- Document field issues using crop monitoring tools for customer reports.
- Observe and report on field conditions to support marketing content.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program for agronomy or an agriculture-related field.
- Intermediate computer and software skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Valid driver license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and work well within a team.
